Enhanced Voice Quality and Dynamics

The updated models in Synthesizer V Studio 2 Pro more accurately replicate human-like voice dynamics, resulting in a greater sense of presence with finer details. This improvement is achieved without compromising on pronunciation and pitch accuracy. Additionally, the preserved dynamics enable AI Retakes to generate more diverse options, giving users more choices to achieve their desired pattern.

Massive Optimizations

Thanks to improved algorithm design and enhanced multi-threading support, Synthesizer V Studio 2 Pro renders up to 300% faster than its predecessor. This significant speed boost is achieved without requiring a dedicated GPU or acceleration hardware, allowing for seamless offline use.

Phoneme Timing Panel

The new Phoneme Timing panel allows for direct resizing and adjustment of phoneme intensity within a note. For certain consonants, the panel offers precise control beyond phoneme-level, enabling detailed adjustments to timing and prominence of plosive onsets.

Enhanced Vocal Modes

Upgraded Synthesizer V voices now feature more distinct Vocal Modes, with the ability to assign separate modes to pitch, timbre, and pronunciation. This allows users to create nuanced singing styles by combining different modes, such as pairing a “powerful” pitch with a “belting” timbre and a “soft” pronunciation. By decoupling these elements, users can craft significantly more realistic, emotionally expressive vocals that perfectly suit the tone and style of their music.

Expression Pad and Timing AI Retakes

AI Retakes is now integrated into the Notes panel, allowing for single-click retakes of phoneme timing in addition to existing functionality. The Expression Pad offers a convenient way to modulate pitch generation behavior.

Smart Pitch Controls

The new Smart Pitch Controls system enables users to quickly and intuitively shape pitch expressions with precision. By inputting key locations for desired pitch changes, the system generates natural-sounding curves that accurately reflect the user’s intentions in near real-time. This intuitive tool allows regular users to achieve nuanced pitch expressions with minimal editing, while also empowering power users to create complex, realistic singing styles.

Mouth Opening Parameter

A new parameter, the first of its kind, has been added to upgraded voices: Mouth Opening, which fundamentally alters vowel pronunciation. This intuitive control allows users to accentuate specific words, or subtly modify the way a phrase begins or ends, adding depth and expressiveness to their synthesized vocals.

Korean Support

Synthesizer V Studio 2 Pro introduces support for Korean as a new voice synthesis language. Additionally, Korean will be available as a cross-lingual synthesis language option for all upgraded voices.

Editor Upgrade

Existing users of Synthesizer V Studio Pro version 1 will be able to upgrade to the version 2 editor for $49, with a discounted price of $39 until April 20th, 2025.

Upgrading users will also receive one complimentary voice from a selection of three: Mai 2, Liam, or Mo Xu. Voice selection will be available through the account system starting March 21st, 2025.

* Upgrade for Synthesizer V Studio Pro will remain available until September 30th, 2025.

Voice Upgrade

Existing users of version 1 voices can upgrade their Dreamtonics voices at a starting price of $19 each, with greater discounts available for multiple voice upgrades. Until April 20th, 2025, the upgrade fee for all Dreamtonics voices is capped at $79. The following table outlines the pricing structure:

Like other Dreamtonics voices, Mai (the complimentary voice included with Synthesizer V Studio Pro version 1) is also eligible for an upgrade to Mai 2. Users who choose Liam or Mo Xu as their complimentary voice when upgrading the editor can purchase a separate voice upgrade to obtain Mai 2.

Upgrade plans for non-Dreamtonics voices will be announced separately by our partners.

How to access the version 2 voices?

• You will need to first create a Dreamtonics account and log into your Product Manager.
• Register your existing version 1 products to your account by clicking “Add Product” and enter the activation code.
• Now, you will be able to select the version 1 voices for an upgrade.
• For Dreamtonics voices, the price of the upgrade depends on the number of voices you have selected for an upgrade. Please refer to the table in the next section.
• Upon purchasing the upgrade, you will receive an upgrade code.
• Click “Add Product” again, enter the activation code and you will be able to apply the upgrade to your version 1 voices.

Synthesizer V Studio 2 Pro will be compatible with version 1 voices through compatibility updates for each of the voices, scheduled for release on March 21st, 2025. To ensure seamless access to these updates, users will need to create a dedicated Dreamtonics account and register their existing products.

Compatibility updates do not support some of the new features introduced in version 2. For detailed information on feature compatibility, please refer to the table below:

The Standard (non-AI) version of Saki voice from version 1 will receive an update with re-trained models, effectively converting it into AI-based voices. The updated voice will have the same specifications as the compatibility updates for other version 1 voices.

Plans for compatibility updates for non-Dreamtonics voices will be announced separately by our partners.

Synthesizer V Studio 2 Pro introduces a new license management system based on user accounts. By logging into their account within the editor, users can access and download all voices licensed to their account*.

A: Version 2 voices are trained to support all the new features in Synthesizer V Studio 2 Pro, utilizing an improved algorithm design that enables better quality and significantly faster rendering speeds. Additionally, we have reworked the Vocal Modes for upgraded voices, resulting in greater distinction between modes. Some upgraded voices also feature new Vocal Modes not available in previous versions.

Q: After updating to Synthesizer V Studio 2 Pro, do I still need to pay for the 2.x updates?

A: Obtaining Synthesizer V Studio 2 Pro is still a one-time payment, and we will continue to release updates for version 2.

Q: What is the commercial use policy of Synthesizer V Studio 2 Pro?

A: Our commercial use policy has not changed.

Q: Is Synthesizer V Studio 2 Pro still offline or cloud rendering?

A: Synthesizer V Studio 2 Pro will continue to use offline rendering.

Q: If I do not upgrade to Synthesizer V Studio 2 Pro, can I continue to use Synthesizer V Studio 1.x?

A: You can continue to use version 1.x, although it will be discontinued from purchasing from the Dreamtonics store. The version 1 license you purchased is still valid forever.

Q: Is Synthesizer V Studio 2 Pro also a perpetual license?

A; Yes it is. Synthesizer V Studio 2 Pro still uses a one-time purchase payment system and perpetual license.

Q: What DAWs are compatible with Synthesizer V Studio 2 Pro?

A: Synthesizer V Studio 2 Pro is available both as a standalone and as a plugin. The plugin version is compatible with many DAWs, including Pro Tools, Ableton Live, Logic Pro X, Cubase, FL Studio, Reaper, and PreSonus Studio One. Plugins come in different file formats, such as VST, AU, and AAX.

Q: Is Synthesizer V Studio 2 Pro compatible with existing projects of Synthesizer V Studio 1.x?

A: All version 1.x projects can be directly imported into version 2, but since some software functions are no longer used in version 2, some edits of the project may be reset to the initial state.

Q: How can I access the complimentary voices for Synthesizer V Studio 2 Pro?

A: Mai 2, Liam and Mo Xu will be available for selection through the account system on March 21st.

Q: Will I still be able to access the other two complimentary voices once I make a choice?
